Practical Details for visiting Tobias
ACCOMMODATION
I have attached an application form for self catering accommodation at Peredur Centre for the Arts, a Eurythmy school adjoining Tobias. They have a large student hostel offering single and some joint accommodation to our students. Bathrooms are shared between 4 and the kitchen is communal. The kitchen has ample fridge and cooking space and is fully equipped. The cost is currently £28-35 per night but do confirm that with Peredur when you contact them.
Click the link below to download the Peredur booking form for you to complete and return to info@peredurcentre.com. Please do not send it to us at Tobias as we have no information or say at Peredur.

On the form you will see a space for dates. You can book in for however long you are needing to stay. You can add in a day or two where you need to – no problem at all. You do not need to stick to the exact module dates. We understand that some may need some recovery time due to their long journeys or there may be financial advantages in waiting a day or two.
We suggest you to book as soon as is possible.
If you would prefer to stay in non-student accommodation there are many places around and close to the school. Please see https://www.eastgrinstead.gov.uk/tourism/accommodation/ for details on what is available.
Lastly, there is an option to camp in your own tent on Tobias land. We can accommodate up to 4 campers at a cost of £10 per night. Email info@tobiasart.org if you are interested in camping.
VISITORS VISA
All non UK students need to check the following website https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor to establish what the visa requirements are for your travel if any. It is a visitor visa that applies in our case as this covers short term study/courses.
FLIGHTS
Gatwick is our nearest airport. By taxi it is 20 minutes away from us. There is a way to travel to Tobias by taking two busses and then walking to us. It is easier to book a taxi – prebooked taxis are far cheaper than those randomly waiting at the airport.
Heathrow is the main airport in London and may be where some may land due to their home locations. The cheapest and easiest way to get to Tobias is to take the National Express Bus https://www.heathrow.com/transport-and-directions/travel-between-airports or Flixbus https://www.flixbus.co.uk from Heathrow airport to Gatwick airport and then calling for a taxi when you are there.
TRAIN
If you are travelling to us by train we are on the Southern Service overland train from London Victoria to East Grinstead. You can pick up this overland line from Clapham Junction and East Croydon too. From East Grinstead station we are a 30 minute walk away or 5 minutes by taxi.
