1.
Vocational training.
No big lecture halls here! We believe that the best way to train in Arts Counselling is learn through art itself. At Tobias art is used every day, different techniques, different mediums all with the end goal of equipping our students with the best tools and knowledge they need for their onward careers. |

Qualifications
Many online counselling courses are levels 1 – 4 and provide a good grounding in counselling. However, at Tobias School of Art and Therapy we offer training at the City and Guilds Levels 5, 6, and 7, with the level 7 training being a masters equivalent and accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). It is specifically designed for individuals at the highest professional levels within their chosen careers.

3.
Small cohorts and close mentoring
At Tobias our cohorts are much smaller than degree courses at universities. Here, everyone is an individual and we have the time and space to focus on friendship, nurturing and giving our students the opportunity to grow. Our tutors are accessible and know every student at the school.
Small cohorts are also beneficial to the students, helping them to build friendships and long-lasting professional relationships. |

4.
Convenient lessons that fit in with home life
We conveniently combine all our lectures/sessions into two days a week (term time). Students attend Tobias on a Monday and Tuesday each week for two years (9.30-5.30) and do placement in their third year. Depending what suits them best, some students live at Tobias, some stay overnight occasionally and others commute daily depending on where they live.
Our Modular course students do ten days a year online and spend two weeks a year on an intensive live Module here at Tobias making it BACP compliant.
Limited accommodation is available.
