Working with the Madonna

Our second year students finished the term with the Madonna theme where students are asked to:

*have an experience connecting to the quality of the different Madonna’s and the relationship to the child.
*have an experience working with the healing ‘impression’ of art images
*copy and develop a Madonna with child in clay and to reflect on their own relationship to their personal experience of mother and child relations.
*consider their own attachment style and the importance and impact of this in therapy
*work with the quality of the 5 -pointed star.

This is always a very popular activity.

Once the students had completed their sculptures, they exhibited them to the faculty and the other students. It was a very enriching experience just before we broke up for the Christmas holidays.
