Working with Eating Disorders Workshop – CPD

In this workshop, we will take a biographical look at our emotional and spiritual development in connection to food and to eating. During our lives we acquire eating habits, from our immediate surroundings as well as habits passed on to us by previous generations. Eating habits can be inherited from one generation to the next. Meaningful events in our lives can shape our perception and relationship to food and to our body. We will explore nutrition issues through a broader perspective, examining both the physical and the emotional aspects of it.
The professional approach to eating disorders – both anorexia and bulimia – is connected to Melanie Klein’s object relations model. We will take a look at theoretical materials as well as case studies of relevant patients, and in addition to that engage in artwork, such as painting and clay modelling, using different materials
David Binyamin is a Graduate of Tobias School of Art Therapy England and of Tavistock Clinic England.
He Counsels families/ groups using listening circles and Non-Violent Communication.
He is a certified SoulCollage® facilitator.
