Working with grief professionally and personally

CPD Course

With Marion Green

Cost: £110.00

Date and Times: 10am-4pm

Saturday 15 – Sunday 16 July 2017

This retreat is offered to carers and professionals working with people from any discipline including counsellors, therapists, medical staff, foster parents, social workers and as parents. As carers we accompany many aspects of grief that do not belong to us and yet we are inextricably and necessarily involved in the client’s process. In the course of our lives there will be times when our work mirrors our personal experience . This may become overwhelming and can lead to a sense of professional paralysis, inner crisis and exhaustion.
The aim will be to offer a meditative retreat, with time to reflect on what happens to us when we experience grief in our personal lives whilst working with our clients. The retreat will include art making, guided meditation, reflective writing and ceremony.
